7:32 pm	ELECTRIC GUITAR im going to buy an electric guitar, and spend my days and nights writing songs, i will have a solo album recorded by the time i leave this country. i dont know what to call myself, i have a few ideas though. tours been funny so far, funny and weird. i have these weird bumps on the back of my hand, i have so many weird problems! last night was wild and dramatic, but lucky old me was wasted and detached from it all. i woke up in the van this morning to alexs phonecall, which made my day! ive been eating strangely, i really want another slice of cherry pie. were playing dunes tonight with die monitor batts, haha! i want to go to the beach alone and swim out into the sea and float for ages. 4:09 pm	MURDER. i got the best package in the mail ever this morning, courtesy of sam h. 2 LBGP records + amazing mix cd. thanks!!! today we had rehearsal at a studio for the first time in ages. it was really awesome, we wrote two new songs: murder, which is very slow glass candy a-la crystal migraine/chromatics cd-r, and burning bridge, which is like gospel/pussy galore-ish, as well as refining a couple other new ones. we're working on an entire new set before i move down, and i'm extremely excited about it, way more diverse, me on drums full time. cathy's voice is sooooooo incredible!! dj-ing at boobytrap tonight, should be interesting. heaps of free booze/bourgie kings x fuckheads. ps. i need these costumes: peace out dudes. pps. the guys next to me are a. eating hungry jacks, making jack hungry and b. looking at hardcore porn aka "pussy.org" Current Mood: future Current Music: sam's mix cd (3 Comments |Comment on this)

5:29 pm	BROTHERS IN ARMS. last night my brother and his friend, jack friels [son of colin friels + judy davis. obsessed?], got really stoned courtesy of his home made coke bottle bong, and were being the original pranksters [as always!]. family life is crazy. so different! my brother, 18, hasn't lived away from home before, and apart from brief periods of family homelessness, has never lived away from my parents for longer than a week. his priorities etc. are totally crazy. he is so easily angered! not to mention incredibly moody + scattered as a result of brekky/brunch/lunch/afternoon tea/dinner/supper/midnight snack bongs. a poster on his wall: LIFE IS FULL OF IMPORTANT CHOICES w/ like 50 pictures of different weed. thats in between the jimi hendrix, nine inch nails and pulp fiction posters. constantly reading william s burroughs, kafka, as well as books about trip experiences. listenin to tool, anything patton, heaps of ravi shankar. this morning i got lunch with guy, on one of his many brief visits to sydney. he took me to the vegan yum cha place, bodhi. it was soooo delicious. heaps of 'this is our last one, i swear'. then went to pick up posters for the maher shalal hash baz/tenniscoats tour + more. [ps. everyone has to go - next wednesday, mandarin club]. did some postering, picked up some pressies etc. happy birthday harriet aka oldielocks. choof on sister! 5:42 pm	DUSTY LUST. today i went to redfern to buy up some videos from the video store thats gettin rid of all VHS. i got times square, freddy's dead, peewee's big adventure, lust in the dust [starring divine], hello mary lou: prom night II, curly sue and problem child 2. i fixed the vcr so i can finally actually watch my videos. i'm obsessed with videos at the moment. i watched nightmare on elm street last night, and i really want to make movies. not horror movies necessarily, just low budget films. once i finish the first issue of reality wreck i want to make the second issue a video zine maybe. i don't think i can go to brisbane this week, as i have to be at the court case on thursday, and therefore have to fly up on thurs night. i can't hitch cos i get a free ride home on sunday so it would be kind of pointless time wise. i will somehow come up asap though. i'm really excited about making packages, which is good considering i have a list about 1000 names long. i sent off my first one yesterday, to sarah. let me know when you get it! 3:04 pm	HELL HOLE. wow. i have 3.5 weeks left in sydney. and in the past month its become way more amazing than ever before. i'm still looking forward to moving to melbourne but i will miss you. angie + catherine, kat + lara, anika + agatha, the boy scouts/le paper dolls, NOTV, newcastle etc. talk about hitting home. yesterday i packed up half of my things, and threw away a lot of stuff. my room feels like a waiting room, i still haven't totally realised the impact of what i'm about to do, but i do constantly kind of feel in between. like waiting for it to happen. still haven't figured out how to get to brisbane, but i'll see you at the end of the week. even though you don't read this, i really love you and hope you're coping, lara. 8:03 pm	COOL SACRIFICE. currently wearing: 4 pairs of undies + swimmers + denim shorts + jeans + two t shirts + jacket + shoes/socks etc. me and micha raided blacktown today, hitting up salvos, best+less, big w etc. for all they got and then some. totally dying of too many layers, but worth it. i've decided to become a vegan, also. i know i didn't mention it previously, but its been about a week and i'm really enjoying it. i've been vegetarian for 6 years, and i figured it would be positive + interesting. i know its poor timing, considering the shit i gave to nisa when i thought she was vegan [not that i'm anti-vegan, or anti-change, it was just soooo funny!], but you know, choice! i bought a record by 'voodoo queens' today. i didn't listen to it, and im kinda worried it will suck. it was cheap though, and i seem to remember them somehow being associated with huggy bear/mambo taxi etc. its on toopure as well. i'm thinking of going to NOTV at brighton bar up, even though i've kind of banned myself from going there, based on location + associations + general anti everything vibes, but its notv, plus i can maybe crush on someone while i'm at it. did i mention i'm horny?? just kidding. i know i say this all the time, but i can seriously not wait for summertime to come. ps. harriet, mind if i join you on the daily swim regime? 5:22 pm	ILLEGAL ALIENS. this morning my dad saw the patch on my backpack: "i object! death to jock hardcore" and he was like "whats jock hardcore??" so i was like, well, you know, hardcore, but made by jocks. and he said "what, hardcore porn?". yeah dad. meanwhile, i had a meeting with micha's lawyer this morning about the court case and the possibility that i'll be a witness. its totally fucked. like i'm supposed to recall all these details that i wouldnt have remembered even 20 minutes later, 7 months on!! its totally freaky, and intimidating. not looking forward to it. we had band prac today, realised we didnt have a mike or the right guitar, and that we've lost the kick pedal and this weird connection thing to put the racktom on. we wrote a new song regardless, but woah! still really need to go to brisbane, MAY have a lift back, so i might not hitch after all, even though i was really looking forward to that side of things. i rented liquid sky to watch with angie the other night, didn't work out and now i realise my vcr's broke!! totally spewin. saturday = juveniles gone wild, broadway style. glebe markets + record fair + breaking into the movies + riot in the mall. sweet deal. revolution summer. my exciting creative ventures coming up include: my zine, reality wreck, which i'm currently making. angeldust - me + alex + smeared lipstick/torn fishnets/cigarettes/drama+tantrums/2000 baby girls screaming. pissed on the world - me + jarrod. grind drum machine + 70's synth + intense vox/lyrics/aesthetic. de-boganise the bogan. pissed on the world/pissed at the world. the teenage liberation army - collective w/ sarah. its a secret. 4:53 pm	GOT NO ALIBI. i gave myself a haircut. too short! it makes me feel ugly. i've decided to go to brisbane next weekend. so like thursday 13th after the court case or friday the 14th? i'm going to hitch-hike, but i need someone to hitch with. anybody? i have four weeks left until the big move, and its doing my head in. there's still quite a bit i wanna do before then, but i also couldn't stand to wait any longer. i have so many packages to send, but i'm ultra-unorganised. after a few weeks in melbourne, i go to perth. then a couple more weeks, then sydney again. and eventually new zealand. maybe new years? i want to buy a typewriter, polaroid camera. again, my record players fucked.
